Educating children in grades early childhood 3 through 8th
in a Christian environment in the Episcopal tradition
As Headmaster of Oak Hall Episcopal School, it is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to our School's website. I hope it answers your questions and gives you a taste of what our students experience here every day.
Oak Hall Episcopal School is a vibrant learning community serving children: Early Childhood (Three years old) through the Eighth Grade. Started in 1977 by a group of dedicated parents, OHES has continued to grow. In 1990 the School affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma, and in 1996, we moved to a new campus. In 2000 additional teaching spaces including a multi-purpose gymnasium were added.
We believe that by educating the whole child, we are equipping them to face the challenges of an as yet unimagined future. Our one-to-one iPad program for Kindergarten through the Eighth Grade helps create technologically savvy students; our comprehensive academic program gives students a wide variety of opportunities to explore their talents and take responsibility for their own learning, which in turn helps create life-long learners; and our outreach programs help shape globally aware citizens.
But, above all else, Oak Hall Episcopal School is an embodiment of the Christian faith. We are a community that honors, celebrates and worships God as the center of life. Our school, like all Episcopal schools, is created to be a model of God's love and grace. We exist to serve God in Christ in all persons, regardless of origin, background, ability, or religion. As individuals and as the Oak Hall Episcopal School community, we "strive for justice and peace among all people and [to] respect the dignity of every human being." (BCP page 305)
